How you can help

Plastic Straws

The use of straws is the biggest reason why our oceans are polluted. Due to all the pollution, climate change becomes a second-hand symptom. In the plastic industry, utensils are made so that they can be refurbished, but the straws are a one time use product and all the straws end up in the oceans.

Theses products are not biodegradable which means it does not decay naturally.

Americans use an estimated total of 500 million straws per day which fills over 125 school buses.

So, every year they use 182 500 000 000 straws, and would fill 45 625 school buses

So, this week, what you can do to help, is to STOP using plastic straws and start using reusable metal straws.
